HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program) helps Medicare beneficiaries and their families. It is a state and federally funded program that offers health insurance counseling, information, and other assistance to individuals in the Medicare program. They inform seniors about supplemental insurance (also known as Medigap), long-term care insurance, and health care plans. If you are struggling with any health insurance issues, make sure that you find a health insurance counselor that can advise you on the best options for you and your family.
HICAP offers the following services:
Health Insurance Counseling - HICAP counselors can discuss Medicare benefits, provide information about different health plans, and explain the best choices for your family. Community Events - HICAP has a number of events where they welcome local residents and have discussions about health insurance Presentations - HICAP counselors will present information to different organizations that need to be informed about certain health care options
